Born in Rome , Italy where she spent the first six months of her life. Janet’s parents were relocating to America from Odessa, USSR (formally known as Russia, now independent Ukraine ). They stopped in Italy , when Janet was born.

She spent her childhood living in Brooklyn, New York . Janet and her brother David began performing for family members when they were just toddlers, and then soon in school plays. Janet had her first taste of professional acting at age 12, when she worked on several televised Commercials. She joined the Barbizon Modeling School with her cousin Yana, where she developed her finishing skills and began her work out regimen. Runway classes were just not as interesting as acting. Janet made her first film in the six grade film class with one of her classmates in Cunningham J.H.S. in Brooklyn NY . She loved it.

She continued studying acting and drama in Edward R. Murrow H.S. around the corner from NBC Brooklyn Studio 1 along Locust Avenue . She got to tour the studio and knew that one day, she would live her dream and be a studio actress.

During her high school years, Janet worked on Television Commercials. She continued studying Drama, and took work shops, and private lessons with a College Drama Teacher by the name of Karl Freidman. Mr. Freidman was impressed with Janet’s passion for art and referred her to a talent manger by the name of Tobe Gibson (who once managed Tom Cruise). Mrs. Gibson signed Janet right away to an exclusive contract. Janet was able to get released from the contract that same year and freelanced for different agencies.

In 2003, after years of studying with various teachers, her friend and some what Mentor , Keith David sat in on some of her classes and provided her with his honest feedback. Janet had to continue studying before sending out her headshots for professional work. That is when she really began her professional training as a theater drama student in New York City ’s 78th street Theater Lab with Teacher Sondra Lee. During her studies, she appeared in such Off-Broadway productions as a dancer in "Automatic Superstar” (2006). She landed the role of a 75 year old Aboriginal women in La Mama’s “Yanagai Yanagai” (2009).

She continued to audition for film and was cast in several projects that will be filming in the near future. She continued to go to class, and work on student films, and low budget productions until she felt she was a trained method actress.

In Mid to late 2010, for the first time since 1998, Janet felt confident about her foundation and commitment to the craft, and began to send her resume and headshots out to professional agencies. She chose to work with the Metropolis Artist Agency for Film and TV.

In 2011, She landed a role (which can not be revealed yet as per contractual agreements) but became a union must join; she joined AFTRA. Simultaneously, she was working as a supporting actress in a feature film, “ Flash Drive ” and landed one of the lead roles in Horror Feature Film “Ghost Hunters”. 2011 has taken off in the right direction. The sky is the limit.
